Legendary leather flight jacket of German Luftwaffe pilots in the period of beginning of WWII. This "JG-52" jackets were used by Luftwaffe pilots of the 52nd Fighter Squadron for the first time during the Battle of Britain in 1940. According to one of the historical versions these jackets were converted from light french leather motorcycle jackets. Pilots replaced the lining of the jackets with warmer one and sewed on the insignia. Comfortable, light and rugged jackets were favoured by fighter pilots and ground personnel and stayed in use throughout the Luftwaffe till the end of the WWII.
P1G Living History makes legendary "JG-52" jackets by the patterns of 1940s of the 20th century and uses high-quality natural materials. Leather flight jacket "JG-52" 1940 Jahr is made of natural horse leather Lining, as well as in the 40s is made of natural cloth. High quality steel furniture and YKK zippers are used in this jacket. Two upper and two lower slotted outer pockets are zippered.
